Dog Days of Summer Camp 2019

The fur flies at our summer camp! For 7 weeks, our campers engage with our dogs in a unique-themed camp each week.

With half day (9am – 12pm) and full day (9am – 3pm) schedules available*, along with 3 day (MWF) and 5 day/week options and small groups of up to 10 children per camp (ages 6 – 12 years old) , summer days at Frolic are pawfect for bonding with the Frolic dogs and creating friendships with other dog loving kids.

For the teenage Frolic fan, we are excited to offer our Activity Leader in Training program!  Click for more information and to apply!

*Due to the daily field trips scheduled for our first week of camp,”Frolic Furriends in the City” (6/24 – 6/28), half-days are not available.

Frolic Furriends in the City

6/24 - 6/28

A brand new theme and all new adventures for the Frolic dogs are in store during this week of our summer camp! Each day, we will take a different Frolic dog and our campers to an exciting location in New York City! From the Highline, Roosevelt Island by way of the tram, even Gantry State Plaza in LIC by ferry, this is bound to be a memorable week for your child and our dogs.

Pup Chef All-Stars

7/8 - 7/12

There are so many delicious smells and tasty foods that dogs would LOVE to eat, but what’s actually safe and healthy for them? Spend the week learning about canine nutrition and perfecting kitchen safety and skills in the Frolic test kitchen so you can make a 5-star rated meal for you and the Frolic dogs. Celebrate the end of the week as a Frolic Chef by facing off in our Pup Chef Challenge!

*Please contact us prior to registration if your child has an allergy.

Junior Vet

7/15 - 7/19

Dogs can do amazing things. Somehow they know when you’re almost home when you’re still downstairs in the lobby of your building! But what goes on inside of them that makes them amazing? How can we, as their human buddies, make sure they’re healthy and happy, inside and out? This week, we will get into the basics about routine vet and grooming care, summer safety tips, hang out with veterinary medical pros, and learn how to recognize when a dog might not be feeling well and need a trip to the vet.

Junior Trainer

7/22 - 7/26

Your dog loving child will learn how to teach our Frolic dogs basic commands, the importance of basic obedience plays in a dog’s daily life, finesse their dog walking skills, and finish out the week by taking each of the Frolic dogs through our agility course and show off new tricks they have taught the dogs!

Tell Your Tail

7/29 - 8/2

Tell Your Tail is a camp dedicated to activities that include creative-thought projects, such as “Tell Your Tail” through blank hard-cover story books worked on throughout the week and taken home as a special memory that your camper can reflect upon. Each day campers will learn something new about themselves and build a strong appreciation for our connection with our fellow human and canine companions at Frolic through music, art, and writing projects.

Cracking the Canine Code

8/12 - 8/16

Introducing Frolic’s first STEM-themed camp! Your child can join us for a week of projects inspired by our Frolic dogs, dog behavior and dog care. From designing and building a model confinement space to help soothe a dog with separation anxiety, to using offline coding to create a dog-walking adventure, all of our activities this week are meant to encourage creativity, critical thinking, team building skills, and canine enrichment.

Dog Days of Summer's Greatest Hits!
